Friends Visit and Start a "RockBand" Craze!

About a week ago, we had some friends over to our house for dinner and a little fun-ROCKBAND!! I wasn't too sure what this whole Rockband thing was but all the guys were way into it! For those of you who still don't know what it is, it is a video game experience where you play like your in a band... Well as our night went on, Jeff and Renee came over (they were in town from Viva Las Vegas) and Dave came over by himself (Elise had family from out of town-she was missed) but not empty handed, he brought RockBand! After dinner the guys started getting way into the RockBand thing...and after about an hour Renee had to go home to put the babies to bed, which left me by myself....to listen to the three guys rock out! It was loud....thank goodness Renee started me on the blog thing before she left...it gave be something to do for the three hours the guys pretended they were in a Band! Jeff even sang for a while! If you look at all three pictures you will notice that all three guys had a chance to be a drummer and a guitar player.....

Well after that evening, Dan decided he REALLY wanted Rockband! So thanks to the help of my parents...."a sold out in stores" RockBand was found this evening!!! Not only did Dan get one, but my sister and her husband have joined the craze. Evidentlly is sounds like they LOVE it more then their two sons! You could even go as far as to say that my parents have joined the craze as well since they were the ones who were looking for it and were excited when they found it! Here are a couple of pictures of what the cats think about the whole RockBand thing!

Isabelle thought the box made a great throne since she is The Princess of the House!

Maisey was just happy Dan was sitting in one spot and she could take a nap.

And Jetlag......was just happy there was tape on the box! Check out the video~Oh, and by the way that is Dan playing RockBand in the background!

Hopefully this kind of music will help Baby Beanut because I don't think the RockBand craze will end any time soon!!

Christmas Gifts for Baby Beanut Already???

YES!!! Baby Beanut already got Christmas presents a year early. They were all so cute!! From Auntie April, Uncle Jack, and Cousins Decker and Judd Beanut got the cute Boston Terrier beanie hat, from Auntie Jen and Uncle Brandon a cute baby book, a Winnie the Pooh cup, dish, and plate set from Auntie Dawn, Uncle Joe, and cousins Austin and Justin, a Onesie and bib set that says,"If they could just stay little til' their Carter's wear out" from the Hunter Family, Carter Onesie's, bib set, and satin blanket from Jeff, Renee, Carter, and Camden, and my parents gave me the cutest pregnant bear rubbing its' tummy! If Baby Beanut could say thank you "it" would....just know we are very thankful for everything!!

Here is the LIVE Ultrasound of Baby Beanut!

OK-Here the the video from the ultrasound that I promised. I was unable to do the whole video, and I couldn't upload from the straight from the DVD, so here is what my camera could capture of the DVD! Mostly what you see is Baby Beanut being very wiggly and moving around, it isn't me, I am laying perfectly still. You are also able to see the spine, the head, nose, and it even crosses it's legs in the beginning. Also, if you look closely you can see the heart beating...it looks like a giant amoeba in the middle of the screen!! Oh and before I forget to tell you, the sounds in the background have nothing to do with the ultrasound....it's just me video taping. I hope all of you enjoy!

We Got to See Baby Beanut Today!!

Check Spelling
So far Christmas Eve morning has been very exciting for Dan and I....we got to see Baby Beanut today!! We had genetic counseling this morning and a LONG ultrasound. Baby Beanut was being very stubborn...it was sleeping and moving around a lot...but not the way the person doing the ultrasound wanted it to move! Anyway, after the ultrasound, we met with the doctor...Baby Beanut is healthy, it has a bladder...which means it has kidneys! YEAH!! For those of you who think you can tell if it is a boy or girl from the heartbeat...it was 150 beats per a minute. We even got a DVD of the whole ultrasound which was pretty cool (don't worry, we will put part of it up). Oh, I forgot...the original due date of Baby Beanut was suppose to be June 27, 2008...evidently they were wrong...Baby Beanut is bigger....the date is now set for June 22, 2008-my last day of school!!! YIKES! Stay tuned for more postings this week and on January 31, 2008 we find out if it is a girl or boy????? Merry Christmas everyone...I know Dan and I will have a great one knowing our baby is healthy! Thanks for the prayers!

Dan and Michelle got Tattoos!!

Yes you heard right...I forgot to mention in the previous post that about 5 days prior to finding out we were pregnant, Dan and I decided to get tattoos. Oops-If I knew I was pregnant I probably would have waited! Anyway, this was something that we had both been wanting to do since we met, and so we did the research and found a great tattoo parlor that has been around for a while, "Everett Tattoo Emporium!" Dan and I both decided to get tattoos that would make a statement of our beliefs and how we live our lives. Since Dan and I are so involved in our church and have made a choice to follow Christ whole-heartily in everything we do, we decided to both get a cross. Dan just got a Celtic cross between his should blades and I chose to get a cross and the word Faith above it on my lower back because having faith in God and knowing that he is there, in control, and has a plan for everything we do is so important to me, as well as Dan. When we told our Pastor, all he could do was laugh at us...partially I am sure because he has a tatoo too and knows how they hurt! He wanted to come down and video tape the whole thing since we did it right after church on a Saturday night! Thank goodness he didn't! So tada check out the pictures-I apologize for the sight of any blood! Also if you want to check out our church-the link is on the left side: Seattle Family Church!

Dan and Michelle are Having a BABY!!!!

To keep everyone informed on this all so important event...we decided to start a Blog. Thanks to Renee for being proactive and just starting me...I was able to sit down and do this!
On October 19, 2007 at 3:50am I woke with terrible flu like symptoms. So putting two and two together...like only I would do at 3:00 in the morning...I got up and took a pregnancy test! I was so excited after it came back positive that I ran into the bedroom telling Dan to get up, I had something important to tell him! He slowly turned on the light....and when I showed him the test, he sat there in shock for a minute all the while I was jumping up and down screaming at him in excitement. Evidently he thought I was waking him up to let him know that I had a bloody nose or strep throat again.
So far the pregnancy hasn't been that bad...I really can't complain. I have only had two episodes where I have had severe morning sickness...once I had to run out of a conference with a parent ....I just told them I had a "migraine" and the second time I was at home, evidently eating applesauce on an empty stomach is NOT a good idea. Every other day I have just been nauseous. In the beginning I was unable to eat any type of protein or even make dinner, currently within the last week, I have just started eating protein again. In the beginning of the pregnancy I was in bed every night by 7:00pm and fast asleep by 7:30pm. Within the last week I have been able to up until 10:00pm. I even stayed up last night...with the help of my friend Xenia....and made three different kinds of Christmas cookies.
Important Dates:
***November 28, 2007: First appointment to the doctor to confirm pregnancy. All seems to be good! The doctor wanted to double check the baby's heartbeat, so she did an ultrasound! Only 1 baby...and the heart is beating well!! After that appointment...the baby was nicknamed Baby Beanut because it was so small just like a peanut.
***December 1, 2007: First purchase at Motherhood Maternity. Thank you Xenia for helping me though this painful process!!
***December 18, 2007: Second doctor appointment!!! We got to hear the baby's heartbeat. It was beating well and it even kicked while we were listening!
