Sorry we haven't posted in a while!!!

Family Camp

Sorry (again) for taking so long to put something new up, but it's just been crazy!

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Entiat for our church's Family Camp. We had a GREAT time! The drive was about 3-hours and Kalia did really well - it was her first car trip more than 45-minutes long, so we were a little nervous. The drive there, she only got fussy a couple of times, but nothing a rice cookie or new movie couldn't fix. The ride home, three minutes in, she fell asleep and didn't wake up until we got home!

All in all, we had a great weekend. Kalia spent more time outdoors than she ever has, so it was a new experience for her. She was exhausted by the end of the trip.

Below are some updated pictures from the weekend - Grandma Jenny bought her a little inflatable pool. Took her a while to want to get into it, but after she did we couldn't get her out. Enjoy!

Kalia's First Crawl!

Well, she crawled at April's the same day - but this was that evening at home. We caught it all on video! I know it's a little dark, sorry. And ignore the sound...there was no choice but to make funny noises to get her to move :)

HAPPY EASTER!!

Kalia is approaching her 1st Easter tomorrow and of course you know what that means!!! I had Easter pictures taken!! I even did this sitting all by myself....I didn't get any help from family!! I am so proud of myself and Kalia too! She did an AWESOME job! Happy Easter everyone!

Kalia's 1st Egg Hunt!

Last Saturday our church had an Easter Egg hunt indoors. Kalia had soo much fun. There were over 600 people and there were a lot of kids! My sister came, my nephew Decker and his cousin came too! My mom and dad even helped out at the event.

Last Saturday, the 28th we went to our church for an Easter Egg hunt and other festivities. Here is Kalia with her pink balloon crown.

Kalia met her birth buddy, Kalina born on the same day she was...just a bit earlier.

Kalia is so calm....she never pulls hair!! Kalina is crawling already and attempting to walk, we were a little jealous....but Kalia did share her Gerber puffs with Kalina.

This was the second run in with the Easter Bunny...the first time we cried!

Ok-just stick out your tongue instead...I won't make you smile. However, when you get older, you are going into timeout for sticking out your tongue.

Today we had a family day and did some fun stuff outside since the weather was sunny and nice...60 degrees. I also have an aweseome mom who comes over on Fridays to watch Kalia and help with some house chores...so this enabled some time for the three of us to do something fun! Oh...and the 60 degrees was warm considering the day before it snowed!! We decided to head to the local Silverlake park. While there, we fed the ducks, played on toys, and walked around. Kalia didn't know what to think of the ducks...she just kept looking at them very seriously. For dinner we went to a new restaurant the "Shake and Go." Yummy food...I highly recommend it! They bake their own buns daily and use fresh never frozen beef...but of course I had a chicken burger! Now we are home...a little tired and Kalia is watching her "Baby Einstein Farm Video."

March!! Kalia turns 9 months!!

Kalia turned 9 months on the 25th of March. She had her 9 month checkup the following Friday. She did a great job for her shots...but we did find out that Kalia is anemic...her iron level is low. She is unfortunately in the same boat as her mommy:o( So it has been a week since she started her iron supplement...it doesn't taste too bad to me, but she makes a face like Daffy duck getting a bad position on one of those old cartoons. Since the iron...ironically she has been a wiggle worm. She wants to be on the ground...she is trying to crawl and has been trying for about a week. She gets from a sitting position to a tummy position all by herself, but then she doesn't know what to do with her legs. Maybe the iron is the reason why she hasn't been crawling? We also got the go to try some fingerfoods and new foods. Kalia LOVES Gerber puffs in peach and banana and she also loves to drink water out of her new sippy cup. She also enjoys shaking her toys, she loves turning the music on her "Amazing Animals" toy she got for Christmas, and loves cars...especially her Leap Frog letter bus.

February!! Kalia turns 8 months old!

To continue with Dan's posting of of Kalia's Valentines pictures...we had a lot more fun! For starters, I had a week off for Mid-winter break, so my sister, nephews, the two neighbor girls, and Kalia and I went to the aquarium. It was a beautiful fun day...cold but sunny! For Valentines day all of us went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. Kalia made some big milestones for 8 months:
*She moved into size 3 shoes and her 6-12 months Robeez and clothes
*Likes to stick out her tongue and lick her chin
*Initiates peek-a-boo with us by putting her blanket barley over her face a pulls it off when we say "Where's Kalia?"
*She is starting to pull herself up from a laying/sitting position
*Loves Baby Einstein Farm movie and cartoons like "Sponge Bob" (Dan started her on the cartoons)
*March 20th, gma and gpa Radcliffe were watching you and swear you were crawling...I don't believe them.

January...Kalia turns 7 months! Sorry Dan is out of Order!

So I am going to try to remember everything that happened in the month of January....sorry it has taken so long to update this blog!! For starters this winter Kalia had a lot of colds...therefore she had an inebulizer (sp?) with saline treatments. During January I turned 30 and my in laws surprised me on my birthday with a cake. I went out with my family to celebrate my birthday at Tulaip casino for their brunch and Kalia went to a casino for the first time. Cousin Justin also had his birthday party...he turned 16! Dan couldn't make it, so Kalia and I headed out for her birthday with Jessica and Auntie Jennifer. We also went and saw Thomas the train with my friend Angela and her daughter Sadie. She loved the show and had so much fun! Since Angela's husband works for the Everett Events Center we were able to sit a couple of rows from the stage. We even had our family pictures done...but technically, Kalia was still 6 months for thos since we had them done on the 1st of January! Kalia has made some big growing milestones in January. We are still not crawling or walking and have no desire to, but Kalia is doing a lot of other stuff!!

*She puts a blankie on her head and when we say "Where's Kalia?" she pulls it off! (Thanks Auntie April for teaching her that)
*She loves baths and chewing on rubber duckies.
*She sleeps in bed with mom and dad because she was sick so much with colds.
*She is good at laying on her tummy and moving from side to side.
*She loves to pet the cats
*Her first word was "dada" and she said it on Jan.24th...a few days later she said "mama"

Kalia is growing so much...she is turning into such a little person!

Sorry, sorry, SORRY for not posting anything for such a long time!

Since Michelle has been back to work, our time has pretty much evaporated. But, that's still not an excuse :)
